Our Virtual Academic Environment is World that does not exist in the physical for students of Tertiary Institutions. It is a final bus stop where all their academic needs can be met. It is more that any online library. It offers students more than they can get in their school environment – goes beyond school boundaries.

VAE is not a social network, but a Virtual Academic Environment. That is to say, instead of students playing around in social media, they can enjoy same environment but academically. Thus boosting their performances. They can create a topic, group and deliberate on academic issues for their benefits. Other students can join their group from the same department or different department and also, from the same or different institutions.

That is a good gesture as students, lecturers, authors and even researchers can contribute to this ever growing Virtual Academic Environment by donating their lecture notes, handouts, text books, research projects, past questions and answers etc. electronically through the upload materials sector of the e-Resources. Click on e-Resources and if the material is a Video Tutorial, you click Video Tutorial to upload in that section’s department. But if the material is Audio or e-materials, you could do the same by clicking on the respective submenus and department to upload it.

When registering, in the column of students, lecturer and researchers, specify lecturer or researcher for your profile to be uploaded in the Lecturers’ Gallery.

Click on e-Resources, and click on e-materials, click on your department and you will research past research project that you can read as a guide to your own work. You may go through many of them and rephrase some topics for your supervisor’s approval and thereafter, that same material could be a guide to your research work.

Contact any of the lecturers at the Lecturers’ Gallery for help or go through past assignment in your department, you may see a similar assignment and follow the steps. You could also, throw the assignment topic or subject to any group you belong to in the Virtual Campus section and you may be lucky to get help from your fellow students.
